Petit Charm Story – Handmade Plexiglass Heart Charm Necklace

The Petit Charm Story is a handmade statement necklace that brings together a bold gold-tone chain, colourful plexiglass hearts and an eclectic collection of miniature decorative charms. Inspired by vintage charm necklaces, playful Y2K fashion and the nostalgia of collecting little keepsakes, this design transforms familiar objects into a distinctive piece of contemporary jewellery.

Inspired by the Dreams collection by Petit Boutique, Petit Charm Story was designed and assembled by Funk Da Queen as part of the Petit Boutique x Funk Da Queen collaboration. The imaginative spirit of the collection meets Funk Da Queen’s expressive approach to handmade jewellery, creating a necklace that celebrates personal memories, playful details and the beauty of unexpected combinations. Each charm brings a different visual reference, making the necklace feel like a miniature collection of treasured objects.

The design features a chunky gold-tone chain with substantial polished links, creating a striking statement silhouette around the neck. Along the front, a carefully arranged selection of hanging charms introduces contrasting colours, textures and shapes. Handmade layered plexiglass hearts in vivid red, reflective pink, black and silver are combined with metallic decorative elements, adding a bold graphic dimension to the composition.Among the colourful hearts are several miniature charms that give the necklace its nostalgic character. A tiny golden teddy bear brings a playful childhood-inspired detail, while a small hat-shaped charm recalls the charm of vintage accessories and collectible keepsakes. A decorative red pendant with gold-tone details, a sparkling pink heart and other miniature ornaments complete the arrangement, creating a composition that feels spontaneous yet visually balanced.The different sizes and finishes of the charms introduce movement and texture, while the polished gold-tone chain provides a unifying element. Reflective plexiglass surfaces catch the light alongside the metallic ornaments, creating an interesting contrast between glossy colours, mirrored details and warm golden tones. Rather than following a strictly symmetrical arrangement, the necklace celebrates an eclectic aesthetic in which each little object contributes something different.The handmade plexiglass hearts are carefully created in the Funk Da Queen studio. Individual components are precisely cut, layered and assembled by hand before being combined with the selected decorative charms. Each element is positioned along the chain to create the distinctive Petit Charm Story composition, bringing together original handmade details and vintage-inspired jewellery elements.
