A little airplane, a colourful trail and the feeling that every destination is possible! The Dream Flight Brooch transforms the familiar silhouette of an airplane into a playful handmade plexiglass accessory, combining vibrant colours, geometric details and a striking trail of stars. With its retro-pop influences and expressive composition, this brooch brings a creative twist to everyday styling, turning a symbol of travel into a miniature piece of wearable art.

Inspired by the Dreams collection by Petit Boutique, Dream Flight Brooch was designed and handcrafted by Funk Da Queen as part of the Petit Boutique x Funk Da Queen collaboration. The imaginative spirit of the collection becomes the starting point for a fresh interpretation of travel-inspired symbols. The airplane represents freedom, exploration and the excitement of discovering new places, while Funk Da Queen translates these ideas into a colourful design through layered plexiglass, unexpected contrasts and playful decorative elements.

The design features a miniature airplane crafted from carefully layered plexiglass. A transparent pink base forms the silhouette, while a white marbled surface with subtle shimmer creates the main body of the aircraft. Bright lime accents decorate the wings, introducing a bold geometric contrast against the softer pink and white tones. The different finishes interact with light, adding dimension and highlighting the clean, angular lines of the airplane.One of the most distinctive elements of the Dream Flight Brooch is the colourful trail of stars extending behind the airplane. Red, orange and yellow-green star shapes appear in different sizes and overlapping layers, creating a dynamic composition that suggests movement and speed. The translucent surfaces and bright colours give the design an energetic character, transforming the trail into an expressive decorative feature rather than a conventional airplane detail.The diagonal positioning of the aircraft adds another sense of movement, making the composition feel as though the plane is flying across the surface of the garment. The combination of structured geometric lines and playful star silhouettes draws inspiration from contemporary graphic design, illustration and pop art, creating a distinctive accessory with a bold visual identity.Each Dream Flight Brooch is individually handcrafted in the Funk Da Queen studio, where the plexiglass elements are precisely cut, carefully layered and assembled by hand. Particular attention is given to the small decorative features, from the lime wing accents to the individual star shapes, ensuring that the different materials and colours work together as one detailed composition.
