This handmade pair of plexiglass earrings reimagines the familiar camera silhouette with a moodier, dreamier twist, creating a design that feels like a quiet night memory turned into jewellery. It is a piece that combines retro references, playful detail and a more ethereal visual language.

Created by Funk Da Queen, the design was inspired by the Dreams collection by Petit Boutique as part of the Petit Boutique x Funk Da Queen collaboration. The dreamy concept of the collection is expressed here through cooler tones, shimmering finishes and silver elements, giving the camera motif a more moonlit personality. While it keeps the playful spirit of the original camera design, this version feels softer, calmer and slightly more cinematic.

The composition is built from multiple layers of plexiglass that gradually form the miniature camera. A white base is combined with marbled lilac, grey and pink tones, while the circular lens stands out in a solid grey shade framed by an iridescent ring. Small gold star details and a sparkling decorative stone complete the design, adding tiny highlights that evoke flash reflections and a starry-night mood. The silver-tone hoops work beautifully with the cooler palette and strengthen the modern finish of the piece.

Each pair is handcrafted in the Funk Da Queen studio, where every individual plexiglass component is precisely cut and carefully assembled by hand. The layered construction brings depth to the lens, the decorative details and the shifting surfaces, resulting in a distinctive accessory with texture and visual dimension.
