This handmade pair of plexiglass hoop earrings transforms organic leaf shapes into a vibrant statement accessory, combining striking colour contrasts, reflective surfaces and contemporary pop-inspired design. Orange mirror plexiglass meets bright lime green in a playful composition that brings a fresh, unconventional perspective to botanical jewellery.

Inspired by the Dreams collection by Petit Boutique, Dreamy Leaves – Orange Lime was designed and handcrafted by Funk Da Queen as part of the Petit Boutique x Funk Da Queen collaboration. The imaginative spirit of the collection meets Funk Da Queen’s distinctive approach to colour, unconventional shapes and artistic handmade accessories. Natural forms are reinterpreted through abstract silhouettes and unexpected materials, creating a botanical-inspired design with a bold, almost futuristic character.

Each earring features two layered leaf-shaped plexiglass elements suspended from a polished gold-tone hoop. The front leaf is crafted from orange mirror plexiglass, with fine engraved details recreating a central vein and smaller branching lines. Its irregular edges create a dynamic, almost sculptural silhouette, while the metallic reflective surface catches the light and highlights the intricate engraving.Behind the orange leaf sits a second element crafted from bright lime green plexiglass. Its more abstract organic shape features rounded openings and flowing edges, giving it the appearance of a stylised tropical leaf. The lime element extends beyond the orange silhouette, introducing depth and a vivid colour contrast that makes the layered composition visually distinctive.The interplay between the two surfaces is the central feature of the design. Orange mirror plexiglass produces warm metallic reflections, while the lime green layer introduces a bold contemporary colour accent. Polished gold-tone hoops complete the composition, connecting the warm orange tones with the metallic elements of the earrings. The slightly different positioning of the leaves creates subtle asymmetry and gives the pair a more natural, expressive appearance.Every pair is handcrafted in the Funk Da Queen studio, where each plexiglass component is precisely cut, carefully engraved and assembled by hand. The fine linear details of the orange leaf and the organic openings of the lime green element highlight the craftsmanship behind the design. The layered construction creates visual depth while keeping the individual silhouettes clearly visible.
