Cosmic Globe – Handmade Iridescent Plexiglass Globe Hoop Earrings

The Cosmic Globe earrings transform the familiar shape of the Earth into a vibrant piece of handmade jewellery, combining iridescent surfaces, bold colours and a contemporary pop aesthetic. With their miniature globe silhouettes and striking reflective details, these earrings offer a playful interpretation of our planet, turning a symbol of exploration into a colourful fashion statement.

Inspired by the Dreams collection by Petit Boutique, Cosmic Globe was designed and handcrafted by Funk Da Queen as part of the Petit Boutique x Funk Da Queen collaboration. The imaginative spirit of the collection becomes the starting point for a creative reinterpretation of the world, where familiar geographical shapes are presented through unexpected colours and luminous materials. The design celebrates curiosity, discovery and the idea that imagination can take us far beyond ordinary destinations.

Each earring features a circular globe crafted from carefully layered plexiglass. The transparent, iridescent base reflects soft shades of pink, peach, blue and gold depending on the light, while fine engraved lines recreate the meridians and parallels of a traditional world globe. Bright geographical elements in electric blue, purple and turquoise green create a striking contrast against the transparent surface, giving the design a colourful, almost futuristic appearance.The interplay between transparency and vibrant colour adds visual depth to the composition, while the reflective finish creates an ever-changing effect as the earrings move. The miniature globes are suspended from polished gold-tone hoops, balancing the playful character of the plexiglass with the clean metallic silhouette of a classic hoop earring.Every pair is carefully handcrafted in the Funk Da Queen studio, where the individual plexiglass elements are precisely cut, engraved, layered and assembled by hand. The different materials and finishes are combined to highlight the geographical details and create a dimensional design. The result is a distinctive handmade accessory that brings together graphic precision, vivid colour and the fascinating optical qualities of iridescent plexiglass.
