Featuring elongated triangular silhouettes, circular cut-out details and softly marbled surfaces, the design brings together minimalist aesthetics and expressive jewellery design.

Inspired by the Dreams collection by Petit Boutique, Polka Muse was created as part of the Petit Boutique x Funk Da Queen collaboration. The playful character of the collection meets Funk Da Queen’s love for abstract shapes, bold proportions and unconventional material combinations. Here, inspiration comes from the world of graphic design, where the repetition of a simple circle creates rhythm, contrast and visual movement.

Each earring features an elongated triangular silhouette crafted from layered plexiglass. The white marbled surface displays soft grey swirls and subtle shimmering details, creating a textured appearance that changes with the light. Repeated circular cut-outs reveal the darker layer beneath, forming a distinctive polka dot pattern that contrasts beautifully with the soft, icy appearance of the white material.The sharp triangular shape adds an architectural quality to the design, while the placement of the circles softens its strict geometry. The composition draws inspiration from contemporary graphic design and elements of Op Art, where repetition, contrast and visual rhythm turn simple geometric forms into dynamic visual statements.

Every pair is handcrafted in the Funk Da Queen studio, where individual plexiglass elements are precisely cut and carefully assembled by hand. The perforated surface requires accurate cutting to preserve the clean shape of each circular detail. Subtle variations in the marbled pattern add visual interest to every piece, highlighting the distinctive nature of the handmade process.The Polka Muse earrings are designed for women who appreciate geometric jewellery and statement accessories with a strong graphic identity.
