Dreamy Leaves – Handmade Plexiglass Leaf Hoop Earrings

The Dreamy Leaves earrings reinterpret organic leaf shapes through a contemporary, colourful design, combining abstract silhouettes, vibrant contrasts and playful visual details. Crafted from layered plexiglass and finished with gold-tone hoops, these handmade earrings bring together botanical inspiration and modern pop jewellery aesthetics.

Inspired by the Dreams collection by Petit Boutique, Dreamy Leaves was designed and handcrafted by Funk Da Queen as part of the Petit Boutique x Funk Da Queen collaboration. The imaginative spirit of the collection becomes the starting point for an artistic reinterpretation of natural forms, where leaves are transformed into expressive graphic shapes. Petit Boutique’s playful creative identity meets Funk Da Queen’s distinctive love for bold colours, unconventional materials and original handmade accessories.

Each earring features a gold-tone hoop with two overlapping plexiglass elements inspired by abstract leaves and organic forms. The upper element is made from transparent pink plexiglass, featuring distinctive engraved-looking lines that resemble the veins of a leaf. Its curved silhouette introduces a free-flowing graphic quality, while the transparency of the material allows light to highlight the intricate lines and dimensional construction.The second element, crafted from vibrant red plexiglass, features a more solid organic silhouette with subtle decorative surface details. Its bold colour creates a striking contrast against the transparent pink element, balancing translucent and opaque finishes within the same composition. The slightly different orientation of the elements on each earring introduces a playful asymmetry, giving the pair a spontaneous and artistic appearance.One of the most distinctive features of Dreamy Leaves is the combination of abstract geometry and natural movement. Flowing curves and irregular edges evoke the organic rhythm of leaves, while the vivid pink and red colour palette gives the design a contemporary pop identity. The overall composition references modern illustration and abstract art, where natural shapes are simplified and reimagined through expressive silhouettes and bold colour combinations.Every pair is handcrafted in the Funk Da Queen studio, where the individual plexiglass elements are precisely cut and carefully assembled by hand. The fine linear details of the pink leaves and the textured red surfaces highlight the contrast between the different materials. Polished gold-tone hoops complete the design, adding a clean metallic element that balances the colourful organic forms.
